Bad Omens at Ally Pally – 25/11/25
As a huge Bad Omens fan, I walked into a crowded Alexandra Palace that was already humming. When the lights went down, a rush of excitement hit me, and then they opened with “Specter,” one of their newest singles. Hearing it live for the first time gave me goosebumps.
They went straight into "Glass Houses" next. It was the sole song from their self-titled album from 2016 a time when they were renowned for their unvarnished debut album grit. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t perform more from that era of their music because I adore it. However it felt unique to hear that song performed live with everyone yelling every word.
The lighting, mood, and Noah's voice in "THE DRAIN" and "THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND" all blended to create a cinematic moment that truly caused me to pause and take it all in. You are certain that you will remember those events. The crowd was in a frenzy by the time "Dying to Love" and "CONCRETE JUNGLE" started. Everyone around me was completely lost in it, yelling, singing, and losing it, and I adored every moment. "Nowhere to Go," "Limits," "ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE," and "V.A.N." only continued to fuel the flames.
One of the more unexpected performances was "ANYTHING > HUMAN," with Jonathan from The Ghost Inside joining in as the audience went wild. They then performed "Like a Villain" and "Just Pretend". The pitch of the audience singing the words was unbelievable.
Those songs live feel therapeutic. And then the encore: "Dethrone." The heaviest song of the night, Everyone erupted during it. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard Ally Pally so loudly. Joy relief and pure chaos.
The production was gorgeous, the atmosphere felt dreamlike, and the band sounded incredible. As a fan, it felt less like watching a concert and more like being swallowed by this massive emotional, dramatic world they built onstage. I walked out exhausted, a little deaf, totally overwhelmed….and so full of love for this band.
Still buzzing. Probably will be for a while.
