Caskets, Electric Ballroom, 17.12.25

Watching Caskets play at Electric Ballroom in London on December 17 was intense and left me totally overwhelmed, but in the best way.

The night began with The Word Alive opening, which brought back a lot of memories. I last saw them in London in 2018,and it’s crazy how much time has passed. They still sounded just as heavy and tight. Their set was a great way to start, and the crowd got into it right away, making everyone even more excited for Caskets.

It was the first time I'd ever seen Caskets live, and I genuinely wasn’t ready for how emotional it was going to be. Hearing Glass Heart, lost in echoes, the only ones live with a room full of people screaming every word back just hit different. Those quiet moments felt suffocating in the best way, and then everything just exploded all at once.

Electric Ballroom was perfect: sweaty, loud, way too hot, everyone packed in and fully feeling it. It was more than just a concert; it was a cultural experience that highlighted the communal rituals of rock shows in 2020s London. The intensity, the physical closeness, and the shared energy capture the essence of why audiences continue to crave these live experiences. It's a collective escape, a moment where people can shed daily concerns and immerse themselves in pure emotion. Left with no voice, ringing ears, and that post-gig feeling where you don’t really know what to do with yourself afterwards.

This show left a proper mark on me. Can’t wait for the next Casket’s show for sure!
