“It’s raining outside but we’re gonna have fun in here” exclaims mgk to a packed room at the Kia Forum. Outside it’s pouring, one of the heaviest rainstorms Los Angeles has seen in a while but that didn’t stop fans from fighting through the weather to experience the Lost Americana World Tour with a special set of the Tickets To My Downfall album performed in full to celebrate its 5 year anniversary.
A red curtain as tall as the stage drops, exposing a giant hand and head of the Statue of Liberty holding a cigarette. The stage shaped with a catwalk of mgk’s XX logo and a color changing album title, “lost americana” is fixed at the top rig of the stage. mgk emerges from the mouth of the statue in his iconic red and white lost americana leather jacket, as a matching guitar descends from the sky to him as “outlaw overture” begins.
The 36 song set list encapsulated many eras that showcased mgk’s genre flexibility throughout his career. Performing rap hits “Wild Boy” and “El Diablo” from Hotel Diablo, pop-punk favorites like “forget me too”, “papercuts”, while sprinkling in singles of “your name forever”, “Lonely Road” in between showcasing his latest hits “cliché”, “vampire diaries” and “sweet coraline” from lost americana.
“I know it’s the holiday season and a lot of you probably had a choice between spending your money on these tickets or spending it somewhere else” mgk taking time to thank the audience, he continues, “I really do appreciate you spending it here.”
You can catch mgk as he continues the Lost Americana World Tour into 2026 in the United States, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
