Slaughter to Prevail flips the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California, into their powerhouse playground on their North American Headline Tour featuring special guests Whitechapel and Attila.

For the next hour, the sold-out venue is commanded by frontman Alex Terrible with his unapologetic, guttural growls and explosive screams. You would expect nothing less from a heavy deathcore band but there’s a unique force from Alex’s vocals that dominates like a battle cry, probably drawing inspiration from when he’s not performing with the band, he’s wrestling with giant grizzly bears and participating in professional Bare Knuckle fights.

Backed by members Jack Simmons and Dmitry Mamedov on guitars, Mikhail Petrov on bass and Evgeny Novikov on drums, the room is met with the same adrenaline as the crowd turns into a sea of non-stop mosh pits, circle pits, crowd surfers and eventually split clean down the middle for a wall of death.

The night was well fed with performances off their latest album GRIZZLY, featuring “Banditos”, “Russian Grizzly in America”, “Behelit”, “Kid of Darkness” and off their 2021 Kostolom album, “Baba Yaga”, “Bratva”, “Bonebreaker” and ending the night with “Demolisher”.

“Thank you California, thank you for the hospitality”, Alex expresses his gratitude, continuing, “I always say that I’m living in a fucking matrix because I think of living my best life, living my dream. I have everything you know, I have a beautiful family, beautiful wife, son, happy house, I [can] support my family every day. I share the stage with bands I grew up with. It’s an honor for me. It’s unbelievable and everything I have is just because of you guys supporting.”

You can find Slaughter to Prevail blazing through North America as they continue their tour through May, with stops in New York, Chicago, Toronto, Daytona Beach and with a return to California in October for Aftershock Festival.
